January Favourites !

Hey Guys , As today is the last day of January , I thought I would show you a few of the things I have been loving this month. There are only a few things because I have been busy with school this month and I haven't had time to do much shopping :)

***

I got the Sprinkle of Glitter Diary for Christmas , and I've been using  it since New Years Day . I like writing in Diaries, and I love writing in this even more because of the recipes , advice and motivational pages that are included. I would recommend this to anyone who is looking for a Diary for 2016.

I got the Naked 3 palette from my Mam for getting good exam results , and I've been using this palette almost every day since. It has such beautiful shades , and I've already done two posts based on this palette, you should check them out to find out about it in more detail :)

My next January favourite is the Zoella range . I have photographed the Fizz Bar because it is the most photogenic , I also have the lip balm , 3 makeup cases and body scrub .

Lastly , I have chosen the Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation and concealer. I have been using the concealer since early last year , but I bought the foundation in late December , and I've been wearing almost every day since. I plan on doing a full review on them soon.  I have also chosen the Beauty Blender , because it applies foundation evenly and in my opinion , is better than a brush.

I hope you enjoyed reading what I have been loving this month. Please leave suggestions for posts down below in the comments and subscribe :)

Cat Eye Tutorial for beginners

Hey Guys , today I thought I would show you a really easy technique for a cat eye. I originally saw this technique on Eimear Mcelheron's Youtube channel , which you can visit      here. This channel is full of really easy eyeshadow looks and tutorials and its amazing for beginners .

Anyway , I often get complimented for my eyeliner so I thought that I would show you how I do it.

For this look you will need

-A felt tip eyeliner pen (essential)
-Liquid liner (optional)

To start off , I like to make sure that my eye lid is fully clean or my eyeshadow is fully finished , because once this eyeliner is done , you may not want to go over it with eyeshadow in case it effects the eyeshadow.

Also , if you are practicing the look , I would recommend keeping your eyelids clean so you have a blank canvas to work with.
                                          ***
The first step is to take a black eyeliner pen and place a dot just above the tear duct. I draw another dot at the start of the iris , one dot above the pupil and one at the end of the eye.

I then draw a dot directly above the last dot , and one slightly outwards from that one. This will create the wing.

Next , I connect the dots. This takes a steady hand , but with a few tries , you will become a pro !!:)

Now that you have joined the dots , draw a line outwards from the outer corner of the eye and connect it to the wing.

All that's left is to intensify the colour. At this stage you may want to use a liquid liner , but I prefer to continue with the eyeliner pen.

That's it ! You have created the perfect cat eye !! I hope you enjoyed this tutorial and have a fantastic week.

Naked 3 Dupe // W7 In the Nude

Hey Guys , I recently got the Naked 3 palette , and I did a tutorial with it which you can read here. This palette is  quite pricey , retailing at about €46 / £35. Today I'm going to show you a cheap duplicate for the Naked 3 which retails at around €7.50/£5.50.

My Mam actually owns this palette, and on examining the palette it is extremely similar to the Naked 3. From the packaging to the actual shades , this palette is the closest thing to the Naked 3 out there , at a fraction of the price.

The shades in these palettes are almost identical , the only things really setting them apart are the names of the shades. As you would expect, the Naked 3 eyeshadows are much more pigmented than the W7 ones , but I think that once you really pack on the colour from the W7 palette , you will get good results.

The shades in both palettes are warm , neutral tones that work really well with everyday looks. The more shimmery shades in the palettes are gorgeous , and the shade shown above (Nooner) is one of my favourites.

The brush included in the W7 Palette is ok , although I do think that the Naked 3 brush is much better quality.

W7 Brush=Black

                                                    Naked Brush = Gold

Overall , I think that this palette is a perfect dupe for the Naked 3 . The whole W7 eyeshadow range is perfect for beginners who don't want to spend a lot of money on makeup to experiment with.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you next week.

Naked 3 Palette // Every Day Eye Makeup Tutorial

Hello Everyone , Happy New Year ! As it is now 2016 , I have decided to start fresh and redesign my blog and remove most of my posts , which I was not entirely happy with.

When I started this blog , my aim was to create posts that I was fully satisfied with , and lately ,  I feel that I have not been as happy as I would like to be with my posts , so one of my resolutions this year is to post once a week with a good quality , interesting post. Anyway , now that I have said all that , I will actually start this post !! :)

Yesterday , my Mam bought me The Naked by Urban Decay Palette , and I'm in love !! Today , I will be doing a tutorial on a pink toned every day eye look using only colours from the Naked 3 . Let's get started !!

-First , I primed the eyes with the Urban Decay Primer Potion in Original .

-Next I covered the whole lid with the shade Limit .

-I then blended the shade Nooner into the crease and below the crease.

-I then higlighted the brow bone with the shade Slanted.

-I then used the shade Buzz above the crease and blended out any harsh lines that may occur.

-I then patted the shade Dust over the whole lid to give it an extra shimmer. After that, I applied mascara and filled in the eyebows to complete the look.

Hope you enjoyed this tutorial and I'll see you next week.
